Before we start delving into the technicalities of this review, let me just give you a little background about TAG Heuer. A man named Edouardo Heuer founded the company. It started production in the 1860's and since then it has producing top notch watches and it has garnered numerous achievements.
The company was just named "Heuer" before. It pioneered the 0.1 second time measurement as well as the flyback mechanism. Flyback mechanism, by the way, allows you to stop an ongoing time measurement by pressing a button or pusher and allows you to start a new measurement by releasing said button or pusher.
The company was bought by the "TAG" company after a number of years and was renamed; you guessed it, TAG HEUER. This is the brand that many people recognize and I'm sure you've also seen advertisements on your TV, with some of the biggest names as its endorser.
The TAG Heuer Men's WJF211A.BA0570 Link Automatic watch is one of its offerings. This watch embodies the perfect balance with sport and luxury. The bracelet with comfort and ease in mind and has an ergonomic design. It features a noire dial, which is based on a timepiece that was built in 1936. When we say noire dial it means that it has a black dial. It also has a silver colored frosted brush stainless steel bracelet which measures 20.3 cm or 8 inches long. It is adjustable to fit any wrist size.
True to form and to the TAG Heuer name, this boasts of a Swiss Chronograph Automatic movement. It is self winding and it has calendar functionality. It is scratch free so you need not worry too much if you accidentally brush it against things that might well "scratch" it. This is good for people who are constantly on the go, like athletes and people who love the outdoors and sports. The stainless case has a measurement of 39mm in diameter or 1.54 inches and it has a screwed down back panel.
The crown just like the back panel is screwed down. It has an invisible double lock clasp for security purposes. It is water resistant with depths of up to 200 meters or 656 feet so you can take it with you the next time you go diving. And of course how it can be a TAG HEUER watch if it's not made in Switzerland? It has a warranty which is limited to 12 months from the date of purchase but just be sure though to keep proof of purchase as well as other pertinent documents in order to get support.
Now I don't know if the ladies will agree with me but every time I wear this watch I feel more masculine and it does wonders to my self esteem. During one meeting with my superiors I had so much confidence because I wore it. I seem more pleasing and more attractive to people when I have this on.
This may seem trivial and unimportant to ladies but please remember that men do not wear any jewelry other than the watch, save for the occasional earrings. I can live without the bracelets or the necklace but please, please let me have my watch. I'm incomplete without it.
This TAG Heuer WJF211A.BA0570 Link Automatic is actually my fourth watch. Some people collect stamps, coins and what not but I collect watches. I've kept the first three watches all in good condition. I'm not planning on stopping anytime soon. I'm still going to keep collecting. This watch comes in a beautiful box with all the papers verifying its authenticity. You'll know it's brand new because there is the blue tape which secures the clasp. The box itself is sealed, proof that it has never been opened and the watch not yet used.
I know that TAG Heuer watches are expensive; some people think the prices are too high. But you can never put a price on quality, that's what I always tell them. It may cost you a big amount now but it is made to last a lifetime.
